Urbanara returned to Frank Production and Cape Town for their second overseas shoot. With the colonial African locations brief the team ventured out of Cape Town to Bushmanskloof Nature reserve, in the Cederberg.
The shoot took place in and around the lodge capturing the wild and rugged African landscape. After a couple of nights in 5 star luxury, the team headed back to Cape town and its surrounds to shoot at two farm locations that offered stunning modern architecture and interior design as a backdrop for their luxury products.
Frank production was involved in the artbuying for this shoot pulling together an excellent local team; photographer Robbert Koene and stylist Natalie Thiart, Cape Town achieving International quality again.
The White Company returned to Frank Productions for their 11th shoot with producer Francien van Eck.
This summer season in Cape Town the shoot was a little different, with Frank casting real families and real people for a more relaxed approach to that signature White Company Luxury.
Chris Everard shot the campaign – also a Frank veteran, with Stylist Elkie Brown making her debut in Cape Town.
As usual the products were stunning and the shoot a lot of fun – we have come to expect nothing else from the White Company.
Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
Local DOP Shaun Lee was commissioned by Frank Productions to work along side Photographer Tomo Brejc to shoot video footage for Hobbs SS13 campaign.
Shaun who usually works on commercials got a taste of what it feels like for us stills crew who are always second fiddle to moving image. It was quite nice for the roles to be reversed. Stills 1 : Moving image 0!
The footage was edited in London – we are looking forward to see the final result.
Frank Productions was also asked to source a local stills team who would work along side the fashion capturing behind the scenes incidentals and Stills images of the accessories for the Hobbs SS13 campaign.
Local Fashion Photographer Ulrich Knoblauch was chosen and worked along side talented stylist Bronwyn Henning who was also responsible for the props.
Frank loved getting involved again in the Artbuying for a stills shoot. For more information on Franks Artbuying services contact us.
In December Frank Productions welcomed Next for the 6th consecutive Season.
Tons of Furniture arrived and were sorted by the Frank team ready for a busy shooting schedule.
The Team got the most out of each location, which was handpicked, at a pre-recce in November.
Also staying at a stunning location house, enabled the team to get the most out of their time in Cape Town shooting into sunset every night.
The preproduction trip is invaluable on large productions like these as it facilitates Frank in getting the most out of Cape Town. Early decisions on talent, crew, locations and accommodation ensure that the client gets the pick of the crop!
This level of organization, trust and most importantly a really lovely team is the perfect way to work! We look forward to seeing Next again soon.
