Frank productions was delighted to be contacted directly by Boden to produce their Autumn / Winter 2014 Shoots for Mini Boden and Johnny B. Proud to be working on such an established British brand, Frank set to work sourcing British looking locations and props, including 20 bags of autumn oak leaves.
Frank recreated a mad hatters tea party for the minis with a host of animals and brought in fake rain for the Teens!
We definitely finished our SS14 season off with a bang. Whoever said don’t work with children and Animals – frank loved it, we had great fun & cant wait to see the pics when they launch this Autumn. We will keep you updated.
Thanks Boden we look forward to seeing you again.
Photographer Rick Truscott.
Frank productions welcomed Urbanara to Cape Town for the third consecutive season.
Urbanara a small start up based in Berlin is growing from strength to strength and now employs over 50 people and offers over two thousand luxury products.
Urbanara offer high quality hand picked products, which are sourced at their centre of excellence and sold direct to the consumer cutting out the middle man and therefore offering affordable quality.
Frank productions was set the challenge to create an sophisticated Cuban backdrop, with Cuba not a production possibility due to the visa timelines, we transormed an Autumnal Cape Town into a Hot dusty Cuban environment.
The Team Travelled in and around Cape Town and had the pleasure of staying overnight at Hopefield Lodge where Gui the onset producer treated us all to a delicious Braai!
Shot by Local Photographer Inge Prins and styled by reknowed Swedish Stylist Sasha Antic the images have been a great success.
Spring 2014 saw Marks and Spencer relaunch their website with a strong focus on content and new ‘editorial hub’ Style & Living.
M&S says the new website is a key part of its plans to ‘transform from a traditional British retailer into an international, multichannel retailer’.
Frank Productions was very proud to part of the launch, which is one of the largest web platform relaunches worldwide.
Frank produced images for the style and living editorial pages, Shot and styled by experienced Husband and wife team Eric Frideen and Niki Brodie.
Frank productions sourced bespoke luxury locations to complement three editorial collections, Boardroom Beautiful, Weekend Pastels and Evening Elegance.
We are proud of the stunning results.
February started with a new client for Frank Productions. Marks and Spencer Fashion Team came to Cape Town to shoot their Holiday stories, for Menswear, Womenswear and Kidswear.
Shot and styled by experienced Husband and wife team Eric Frideen and Niki Brodie, and co produced with Spring Studios in London, the shoot flowed effortlessly.
With perfect summer weather for the beach locations and even no wind for the Yacht shoot, the results look like the perfect Holiday!
The White Company returned to Frank Productions again this season to produce their Fashion, Interiors and Lifestyle shoots.
World reknowned photographer David Loftus shot the interiors and lifestyle images.
Frank Productions sourced a handful of bespoke ‘on brand’ locations which were then styled by Elkie Brown to create a relaxed al fresco White Company environment ready for the models to add a touch of life.
The Fashion shoot was headed by New York Based Fashion Photographer Olivia Graham, art directed and styled by Sarah Clark. Frank Productions helped create the Capri Glamour, with yachts, unique locations and props.
Frank sourced and cast two model families, Mums, Dads and countless kids. The models worked across both the fashion and lifestyle shoots, which were being shot concurrently and therefore Frank productions worked hard logistically to co-ordinate, models, wardrobe, product, props and Lunch! (on some days we had 30 people on set!).
Frank Productions produced the Marks and Spencer Home shoot for the 7th time in Cape Town. Working Closely with Axon publishing who efficiently produce, art direct and design the Catalogue for Marks and Spencer.
It is always nice to welcome old faces to Cape Town and catch up but this year we were also introduced some new team members. Photographer Jeroen van der Spek from Holland, which gave producer Francien van Eck a chance to polish up on some dutch.
It was Jeroens 1st time shooting in Cape Town and I think it is afe to say he was really happy with the variety of locations on offer, the weather and the level of production service.
We also had the pleasure of working with reknowned interiors Stylist Glen Proebstol who flew in from New york for the shoot.
Glen added magic his magic to the images, the shoot atmosphere and Cape Town. We at Frank productions are still missing the music and the moves.
The shoot is always a production feat as 12 tons of product arrives on our shores, which needs to be unpacked, sorted into stories, pre assembled and delivered to set each day. After 7 seasons we would like to think we have the hang of it as this shoot proved to be a huge success.
Next, another loyal client to Frank productions came to Cape Town in December 2014 to shoot their Home Catalogue. Their 7th consecutive season with Frank Production.
As usual Art Director Tim Garner came to Cape Town for a locations recce prior to the shoot where he toured the Western Cape, reccying all the new locations on offer.
Frank also organised meetings with potential local stylists and photographers that could be part of the team.
With all locations pre selected and crew well briefed the shoot always runs smoothly. This year we had two teams shooting consecutively at different locations.
Franks team worked hard therefore to ensure that the right product was with the right team at the right location, which is logistically harder than it sounds as often the product needed in two places at once!
Frank production had the pleasure of working in Cape Town with Simone Aurora, India’s fabric mogul, the third largest fabric manufacturer in the world.
Mrs Aurora, is launching a Luxury Interiors Store in Mumbai in 2014, self named SIMONE DESIGN, and choose Cape Town as the location for her exciting 1st photographic stills shoot. Shot by photographer Anders Schonneman and styled by renowned Home and Gardens stylist Olivia Gregory the shoot was bound for success. Francien van Eck was the line producer working closing with Hat Margolies from Lucid represents in London. Frank productions sourced appropriate locations, whose interiors and outside spaces were luxurious, opulent and complimented the earthy tones and textures of the brand identity and product. Props were also meticulously sourced by Franks team, and efficient logistics to store, sort and transport all the product.
The store is due to open any day, we are excited to see the results from our shoot – above is a sneak preview…
Frank Production is cooking both literally and metaphorically.
There is a heat wave in Cape Town and Frank has had our busiest season yet!
