A new season is upon us and we are so excited to be working on all the new briefs coming in from existing and new clients.

There are lots of new locations in Cape Town, some great new houses, surf shacks,  safari lodges and old school petrol garages (such as Inyoni Garage) featured above.

Frank has been busy with many different genres of shoots, namely Kids, (Above Luna Magazine Editorial shot by Beatrice Heydiri), Womenwear, Menswear, Homewear and Advertising.

We admit we are not the best at keeping our news page up to date, but in our defense it is due to the fact that we have just been so busy producing your wonderful shoots.

Lets get started!

Cape Town Calling…

Cape Town Calling…

So its been a busy winter and season is upon us again.  We have not had time to update you on all the wonderful shoots we have produced but our Instagram feed is now the best place for updates.

However, in the spirit of a new season we have been updating everything this side; our website, our branding, your gifts, and the Frank Guide.

Did you know Cape Town has been Voted Gourmet Capital of the world by Conde Nast.

Here are some of the culinary treats you could be sampling on your next shoot…

We know, we know – it is not an excuse, but Frank is just too busy producing to update you on our news. As soon as we can update you on all our exciting shoots we will.

The White Company Interiors

Frank has been working exclusively with The White Company Interiors Team in Cape Town for 9 Years. And we Love them! We love the product, the concepts, the props, the food and are always proud of the final images.

This season we had the pleasure of working with the talented Anders Schonneman as photographer and the lovely Elkie Brown as stylist.

With a small flexible team they always manage to effortlessly create the flawless alfresco scenarios; the tempting dinner table, the perfect garden party and the immaculate white bed. One day I might just have to jump into it!

M&S Mens

Marks and Spencer Summer 2015

We had the pleasure of working with M&S again this year to produce their Holidayshop & Style and Living Editorial stories for Womenswear and Menswear Summer 2015.

Shot and styled by the Dream Team, Eric Frideen and Niki Brodie. We shot for 5 days, in 5 different locations including an adventurous trip up the west coast. Great Results as always.

Little White Company

We have had a lovely season with The Little White Company visiting us three times for four different shoots. Together we have shot for Spring, Summer and Autumn.
Sometimes shooting for lifestyle, sometimes shooting for E-commerce, sometimes on Location and sometimes in a studio.

We have had a lot of fun, working with photographers Tim Marsella and Casey Bertie, there has never been a dull moment (A few loud ones, some very funny ones, but definitely not dull ones).

It is just great working on repeat shoots for the same client during one season, as we get to know the clients likes and dislikes, the favourite; kids, locations and crew.
It just makes for a great production all round.

Bring on Winter.

Darling Issue cover Lo res

Thats Darling

Photographer Colette de Barros asked for our support to help her shoot an Editorial for US Fashion Magazine – Darling. They needed African savannah with tame African animals within close proximity to Cape Town. EASY. Within an hour of Cape Town we could supply both. Except for Colette and the Art Director Polly Chamier, The team was all local; Stylist, Model, Hair & Make up, assistants and production, again all sourced and provided by Frank.
We are just thrilled with the images.

Frank Loves Cape Town!

It’s a fantastic place to live, work and play. But while the Mother City gives so much, it is clear to see that not all of her citizens are as fortunate as us.

With this in mind, we are always looking for ways to give back to the communities that make our hometown so special.

So Frank has joined the Film Industry Fund – a non-profit organization set up by the Film Industry to raise money for both the communities that we shoot in, as well as disadvantaged areas that aren’t used as locations.

And if we contribute – so do you!

This how it works: For every City of Cape Town Film Office permit that Frank uses, we commit to making a donation. Which is done on your behalf! So you’re helping the less fortunate by just by having your production in Cape Town.

We also contribute to the fund by processing Visa Letters. The Film Industry Visa Agency is a non-profit organization, so once they have covered their costs, all the surplus funds go into the Film Industry Fund. So far this season, approximately R200 000 have been donated this way.

Here are some of the ways the Film Industry Fund has helped communities in the short space of time that it has been running:

• Donated a fantastic Jungle Gym worth R34 235,38 to the Upper Leeuwen Street Park in the Bo-Kaap.

• R10 000 donated to the Astra School for the Disabled in Montana.

• Paid for 25 learners at the Sid. G Rule School in Grassy Park to have 2 individual reading lessons per week for a year. This was facilitated by and cost R30 000

• Bought a new sound system for the Samaritan School of Dance in Woodstock

• Donated R37 000 worth of computers for the Baphumelele Waldorf School in Khayelitsha

And the fund looks to be healthy, so they are getting ready to make some more great donations.

While we’re pleased with good work that’s been done, we feel we could still do more. So Frank is currently looking for other ways to give back – watch this space!

Johnnie B – All Aboard For Summer

We are so proud of the latest Summer 15 Johnnie B campaign shot by the talented Rick Truscott in Kommetjie, Cape Town.
Getting such natural shots from a bunch of teens is not easy and again the Johnnie B team again makes it look effortless. We LOVE working this with clever Boden Team, with months of pre-production, nothing is left to chance. That means on the day we can focus on being at exactly the right place, at the right time, with the right weather and make sure everyone is REALLY well looked after!
